Safety Procedures

Below you'll find a description of all of my current safety measures and clinical changes. These will be continue to be updated as new information is applied to new products or procedures.

In case of illness: please stay home

The health emergency of Covid19 has been declared over, but those with sensitive health conditions are still at risk - not only from Covid but from other contagious illnesses as well. I encourage you to cancel appointments and stay home in case of illness. No cancellation fee will be charged for illness.

Face masks

While face masks are no longer mandated for everyone, I will still be wearing a mask and require anyone with any signs up illness (coughing, sneezing, runny nose) to wear masks as well. Masks will be made available to all in the entryway to the offices.

Cleaning Procedures

Treatment room surfaces are being disinfected between patients, other high touch areas like bathroom surfaces and doorknobs are disinfected regularly. For most surfaces I am using Force of Nature cleaner (requiring 10 minutes to disinfect), or if time is insufficient, with another FDA and EPA approved cleaner (these typically take 1 minute to disinfect).

What surfaces are cleaned?

All treatment surfaces such as the treatment table and individual pillows are all covered in waterproof covers, which are sprayed or wiped between patients. “Emergency blankets” are also sprayed between uses. Clean sheets and pillow cases are always used for every patient. Other high touch surfaces throughout the office (doorknobs, restroom surfaces) are wiped daily.

I’m Vaccinated + Boosted!

I have remained up to date with vaccines and boosters, most recently receiving my flu vaccine in fall of 2023 and bivalent booster (Pfizer 2023). I am also still up to date with pertussis since I am in direct contact with folks with infants!

Trying to decide if the vaccine is appropriate for you? Always talk to your doctor when making medical decisions, though this blog post may help you in making the best determination for you and your family.

Medical Scrubs

Most of my wardrobe is made of natural fibers that are not meant to be washed frequently. As a way to protect my clothing and protect you, I’ve switched to scrubs, which I change daily.

Air filter in each room

Each treatment room and the waiting room has a medical grade HEPA airfilter approved to clear even fine particulates and viruses from the air. My prefered brand is Austin Air, made just north of us in Buffalo, NY. Click the link for more info on Austin Air, or ask Ece on details for purchasing an air filter for your home.
